Ps5 Doesnt Have Quick Resume
At least at launch, you'll need to boot up your games from scratch when jumping from one to another.
Ps5 doesnt have quick resume. It is microsoft patent and they do not want ps5 to get everything 2. People here are confusing between the functionality of ps's switcher and xbox's quick resume. Playstation fans are outraged over a handful of features the ps5 will be missing when it releases next week.
But with the ps5 starting out with a hard drive deficit circa 165gb, i'm glad that it doesn't have the quick resume feature taking up valuable hd real estate. Better ssd in better customization, chip, ram connection 5. Ps5 doesn't have quick resume, but activity cards may offer a workaround.

That's boot time, not quick resume (ie resume game) i’ve seen and heard about using quick resume being used while the console was updating and/or unplugged, to cold boot and quick resume right back into your game(s). The quick resume ability to hop between. Is that not what tom warren is showing here, even though the ps5 doesn’t have that feature?

Ps5 activity cards should be better since it also allows you to jump directly and near instantly to multiple points in every game, even places where you've never been before. Microsoft explained that the next iteration of quick resume has been made possible thanks to the ssd, so by extension, the only hardware sony is going to have out in the wild that will be capable. Yes, at least i saw it on dmc5 with a continue activity card.
Dx12_2 features, etc graphics, performance, stability 4. But every time, the game needs to rebooted from scratch and all resources needs to be pulled in from the ssd. Eject one game, insert the next one, wait for disc recognition (about 9 seconds), then watch the quick resume process whisk them into gameplay.
Unfortunately, the ps5 doesn't yet have an answer to quick resume. At first, i was a little bit disappointed that the ps5 didn’t have a quick resume function, and i still am in ways, but this completely changes the way that you think about game saves, and loading into a game, and i’m very excited to see how certain games take advantage of it. The ps5 interface does have a handy switcher tab that lets you browse and load your most recently used games and apps, but once.
If sony does somehow making it, then it needs to add in setting, completely programming etc. An example of this would be the whole cross gen debacle. When discussing what the playstation 5 and xbox series x do better.
Not having to navigate menus in fifa or call of duty might be an absolute blessing, so i’m really keen to see that plays out. Avoid overheating, while in quick resume so, ps5 do not have it. The simple answer is yes.
